โฝ๐๐๐๏ธ๐ช๐ฌย Egypt is hosting the CAF African Cup of Nations 2019 in its 32nd edition (the biggest so far with the introduction of 24 participating national teams for the first time) which is the biggest African football national gathering held every other year. The tournament will be hosted in the beautiful Egyptian cities of Cairo (capital), Alexandria (Mediterranean sea), Suez (Red Sea) and Ismalia (Red Sea). This year, will also see the first application of automated online ticketing and FanID systems introduced by Egypt’s Tazkarti service in addition to the first VAR video assisted refereeing system. Egypt’s mascot for the tournament will be the Tut junior football player! ๐
๐ย Currently, Egypt is welcoming tourists and football fans ahead of the start of the tournament on this Friday 21st of June 2019, where there will be a concert at Cairo International Stadium followed by the opening match between African friends Egypt and Zimbabwe. The Egyptian team, nicknamed as the “Pharaohs”, will play with some of its top stars including Liverpool F.C. top scorer Mo Salah. ๐๐
๐๏ธ๐ย As the environment in Egypt is getting energetic and full of happy and festive vibes before the tournament, the Egyptian security organisations have beefed-up their security precautions and measures ahead of the tournament to safeguard the teams, fans, and all visitors to Egypt and its tourist sites and cities. This included deployment of Police special forces and counter-terrorism units in the vicinity of all stadiums, team lodgements, and participating Egyptian cities where visitors will be guaranteed to have a safe and happy time in Egypt!
