๐ซ๐ท๐ช๐ฌ๐คย President El-Sisi of Egypt along with his French counterpart, president Macron, had a joint presidential meeting in Paris to discuss global affairs and bilateral relationships. They held a joint press-conference at the French Elysee presidential palace where they jointly confirmed the strong historic relationships between both friend nations and their mutual agreement for total peace and development in France, Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East. They both showed a strong will to fight the global rush of terrorism which is spreading across the different nations of the world, and which has been experienced previously in France and Egypt. Both nations have a strong strategy and tactics in counter-terrorism and they agreed to fight global extremism together. France and Egypt also signed multiple business and economical agreements which will benefit both nations and their development.
๐ชย โ๏ธย When asked about the terrorist “Muslim Brotherhood” organisation which has some roots in Europe and Egypt, President El-Sisi expressed that both Europe and Egypt hold every right to fight such extremist ideologies and reiterated the importance for global media to pay extra care not to spread false information about human rights and counter-terrorism. President El-Sisi told the news agencies: “Why don’t the global human rights organisations equally defend the rights of the lost souls of the police forces and their families who fight terrorism … why don’t they fight for human rights for good education, good health-care and well-being? […] Some global human rights organisations only care about human rights for terrorists and their organisations [like the Muslim Brotherhood] and their rights in prison.”. President Macron agreed with president El-Sisi and stated: “Egypt is better aware of the correct strategy for counter-terrorism and human rights … no nation should dictate on France or Egypt on how to deal with extremist criminals! Both nations know better how to protect their national security and the security of Europe, the Middle East, and the Mediterranean nations.”.
โฎ๏ธย ๐๏ธIt was clear from the press-conference that both France and Egypt stand strong together in solidarity with high willingness to stop global terrorism, to support other nations in total development and to improve the very warm bilateral relations between both friend nations. Both nations also agreed that 2019 will be the year of Egyptian-French culture and tourism, which coincides with the 150th anniversary of the joint Egyptian-French project of Suez canal. Both presidents also agreed of organising frequent student exchange programs to support French students in studying in Egypt, and vice versa.
