๐Ÿ›ย Under the patronage of the top Islamic clerk in Egypt, Imam El-Tayeb from Al-Azhar institute of Egypt (the biggest moderate Islamic scientific institution in the world which is the de facto representative of the religion of Islam in the modern age), the Egyptian foreign affairs diplomats and government officials have met with a group of representatives from Myanmar (Burma) in order to advance the civil discussions between all sects in the country to reach peaceful coexistence and prosperity in Myanmar. This comes in light of Egypt’s eternal responsibility in preserving peaceful fusions between cultures across the ages, and the continuous efforts exerted by the Pharaohs to spread the message of love and peace throughout the whole world.

โ˜ธย โ˜ชย โœย ๐Ÿ•‰ The Egyptian mitigation team included top Islamic clerks from Al-Azhar, top Christian clerks from the Coptic Church of Egypt, and world-renown diplomats from Egypt. The team from Burma included young citizens, activists and diplomats representing the different sects in the country, including Buddhists, Muslims, Christians, and Hindu. The goal of this conference is to open the door for peaceful discussions which can identify the root-cause problems in society which cause some clashes, in order to reach acceptable solutions for all parties involved. This meeting comes as an initial initiative from Egypt which will see future ongoing discussions and meetings until full peaceful coexistence in Myanmar is achieved to support the friendly open-minded people of Myanmar and to support a strong and prosperous nation.

โ˜ฏย During the conference, the grand imam of Al-Azhar has confirmed that “We have always known Myanmar as a peaceful, multicultural and friendly nation of coexistence … there is nothing more dangerous to the world than killing, bloodshed and criminal acts in the name of religion … this kind of behaviour should be eliminated from the world and should not be tolerated or attributed to religion as all religions call for peaceful coexistence between all humanity“. The grand imam also confirmed that “we have always studied that Buddhism and all religions call for high values for humanity and peace (not to kill, lie, steal, not to become drunk, and also to be merciful) … Buddha [Christ and Muhammad] is also a great leader who called for peace and love between all humanity“. The grand imam from Al-Azhar has also confirmed that “it is the responsibility of Al-Azhar and all similar moderate voices of religion to spread the culture of peace and coexistence … God created us all different and diverse (this is the nature of life) … religion shouldn’t be held accountable for the bad crimes of their ignorant or wrongly-guided followers, but it is the responsibility of the religious scientists and leaders to enlighten their followers of the real message of all religions towards love, mercy, and coexistence“. The imam also noted that “All religious leaders and prophets have called for brotherhood between all humanity against all sorts of discrimination … religions don’t know the terms minorities or discrimination“. El-Tayeb also expressed his hopes that 2017 “would be a year ending all sorts of bloodshed and wars“.
