📱The Egyptian company SICO announced during the CairoICT 2017 conference its new Android 4G smartphone locally produced at its plant in Assiut city, Egypt. The phone, with the name Nile X, is the first locally-manufactured smartphone marketed under the SICO brand, and is expected to have a strong performance in the smatphone markets of Egypt, Africa and the Middle East. The new Nile X phone ships with the following specs.:

🌐📲 The production line of smartphones in Assiut is capable of producing 1.8 million devices per year. The new Nile X phone is expected to be launched in the Egyptian market by mid-December 2017. The phone will then be made available in other countries in Africa and the Middle East. It is planned for the Nile X smartphone to gain 5% market share in Egypt within the first year of release. The price of the phone will start from EG£2000 ($113) and reaching EG£4200 ($237). SICO also produces other simpler ranges of feature-phones starting from EG£200 ($11).
